ANGUILLA FESTIVALS DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION APPOINTS INAUGURAL SUMMER FESTIVAL COMMITTEE
January 28, 2026Anguilla– July 1, 2025 — The Anguilla Air and Sea Port Authority (AASPA) continues to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to national development and community engagement through strategic sponsorship initiatives that support culture, sports, youth and the arts.
AASPA officials, led by Chairman of the Board Mr. Fritz Smith and Director Mr. Andrew Niles, presented sponsorship contributions to a range of individuals and organizations integral to the Anguilla Summer Festival 2025 and other community-based events and initiatives.
Among the recipients was Ms. Keischa Brooks, who accepted funding on behalf of student-athletes set to represent Anguilla at the Junior Olympics Trials track meet in Florida. The contribution will assist in covering travel and participation expenses for the students, marking a significant investment in the development of youth sports.
AASPA also pledged support to the South Valley Community Street Festival, a key cultural event under the Anguilla Summer Festival umbrella, reflecting AASPA’s ongoing dedication to the celebration of local traditions and community identity.
Cultural sponsorship was further extended to Soca artist Viggy, in support of his musical journey and participation in the Flow Soca Rave and Anguilla Summer Festival. This sponsorship reinforces AASPA’s belief in nurturing local talent and promoting the creative arts as a pillar of national pride.
During the proceedings, Mr. Fritzroy ‘Briggy’ Tomlinson, and Mr. O’leary Richardson — Chairman and Marketing Representative of the Anguilla Summer Festival respectively — received a check in support of the highly anticipated August Monday Caribbean Beach Party. Mr. Richardson also accepted sponsorship on behalf of Eyes Wide Shut 2025, acknowledging AASPA’s vital role as a key contributor to the success of this landmark event.
In addition, a check in the amount of $20,000USD was presented to the Anguilla Boat Racing Association in support of the prestigious Champion of Champions Boat Race. A representative of the committee expressed heartfelt appreciation to the AASPA Board, noting the importance of such support in maintaining the momentum and excellence of this national sporting tradition.
AASPA remains steadfast in its mission to contribute meaningfully to the social, cultural, and economic fabric of Anguilla. These sponsorships are part of a broader vision to uplift communities and inspire progress through collaboration, celebration and empowerment.
